In 2019 CVTU was awarded a grant from the Pennsylvania Coldwater Heritage Partnership to develop a Coldwater Conservation Plan for the Letort Spring Run from Route 34 to Interstate 81. Many of our long-time members and anglers on this section of the Letort had expressed concerns that attention needed to be given to this section
Cumberland Valley Trout Unlimited received a grant to create a Coldwater Conservation Plan for the upper portion of the Letort Spring Run. The grant was awarded by the Pennsylvania Coldwater Heritage Partnership, a collaborative effort between PA Fish & Boat Commission, PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds and Pennsylvania Council
The monthly CVTU membership meeting will be held on June 23rd and not on the 16th. This month’s meeting will take place on Messiah University’s campus just across the covered bridge. CVTU’s Rivers Camp will be going on that week. Come join us, bring your kids and grand kids, so all of you can watch

The “Feet In The Stream” (FITS) crew will be working on the Letort on Thursday, April 29th. I want to thank the 108 people who voted in our board of directors’ election.
