Pennsylvanians: Help Protect Our Public Lands and Coldwater Streams

Stand Up for Fish and Public Lands

In May, your voices made a difference—an amendment to sell off 500,000 acres of public lands in Nevada and Utah was removed from the House reconciliation bill. That’s a big win. But the bill still passed with damaging provisions that could impact not just the West—but Pennsylvania too.

What’s at stake?

• Expanded oil and gas drilling on public lands
• Rollbacks on protections for places like the Boundary Waters
• Deep cuts to conservation agency funding
• And an effort to bypass commonsense reforms that protect land, water, and wildlife

These provisions set a dangerous precedent that threatens Pennsylvania’s own coldwater streams, public forests, and outdoor traditions.

This is our moment to act.

The Senate is drafting its version of the bill. We can’t let backroom budget deals decide the future of our public lands and clean waters. From the Lehigh to the Loyalsock, from Pine Creek to Penns Creek, our wild trout streams and public lands need defenders.

Join Trout Unlimited and fellow Pennsylvanians in telling your Senators: Protect public lands. Protect our waters. Protect our way of life. Use our draft letter or share your personal story—your voice makes a difference.
