Limestoner Spring Fly Fling & Banquet 2026 | Limestoner Fly Fishing Event

April 25, 2026. The Limestoner Spring Fly Fling features two-person fishing teams competing for prizes and bragging rights, followed by the Limestoner Banquet—an evening of great food, camaraderie, raffles, and auctions, supporting community conservation and programs like Trout in the Classroom.

What is the Limestoner?

The Limestoner Spring Fly Fling & Banquet is CVTU’s premier fundraising event of the year. Your participation strengthens our community, supports programs like Trout in the Classroom, and conservation work right here in South Central PA.

Proceeds raised directly support:

  • Trout in the Classroom, connecting students to conservation through hands-on learning
  • Local conservation efforts that protect cold, clean water, such as our active support of ongoing efforts to protect Big Spring Creek from nearby industrial development.
  • Stream improvement and habitat restoration projects, including recent work on the Yellow Breeches at the Wittlinger Preserve and on the Barnitz Church property.
  • Chapter activities and community outreach, including annual fly-tying courses, kids’ Intro to Fishing classes, summer camp education days, local stream cleanups, and monthly presentations by professional conservationists and angling experts.

When you register, attend, sponsor, or donate, you’re helping to protect the clean, cold waterways of South Central Pa and building the next generation of conservationists.
