About the Tulpehocken Creek
The Tulpehocken Creek is a coldwater tailwater fishery located just outside of Reading, Pennsylvania. Flowing from the bottom-release dam at Blue Marsh Lake, the creek benefits from a steady discharge of cool, nutrient-rich water.
This creates an ideal environment where trout thrive year-round.
- Nearly 4 miles of high-quality water below the dam
- Strong populations of brown and rainbow trout
- Consistent temperatures → reliable fishing even in summer
- One of the most technically rewarding fisheries in eastern PA
