Fishing Event for Active Duty Military, Veterans, and First Responders
Cumberland Valley Trout Unlimited annually hosts a family-friendly fishing event for active duty military, veterans, and first responders.
The mission of the Trout Unlimited Service Partnership is to bring the therapeutic healing of fishing to our nation’s heroes. Trout Unlimited partners to serve and engage local first responder and military communities through fishing, conservation, and the sustaining support of the TU community.
You do not need to be a CVTU Member to attend this event. Please get the word out to any friends and family members that are active duty military, veterans, or first responders, and encourate them to attend.
Activities include:
- Casting instruction
- Stream biology
- A light lunch

- A chance to fish the Yellow Breeches Creek
No fishing license is required as we have obtained a special permit from PA Fish and Boat for the day. A limited number of rods and reels will be available for participants.
