Join us for the 14th Annual Sportsmen’s Banquet in Carlisle, PA, on February 21, 2026. Enjoy an afternoon and evening filled with great food, outdoor seminars, contests, and community.

Ticket Information and How to Reserve

  • Tickets are currently on sale, and a minimal donation of $15 per ticket is requested.
  • We accept cash or check (payable to Mt. Zion Crossroads Church).
  • To reserve your tickets, please contact the church office at 717-486-4280 and leave your name, phone number, and number of tickets requested. 
  • To pay for your tickets, you can either stop by the church during office hours (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays 9am-1pm) or pick-up the day of the event.  

Event Details and Schedule

  • Location – Mt. Zion Crossroads Church, 420 Park Drive, Carlisle PA 17015
  • 2:30pm – Doors open
  • 4:00pm – Seminar Presentation – Mike Klimkos (details below)
  • 4:30pm – Turkey Calling Contest (Youth and Adult Divisions)
  • 5:00pm – Meal (feature presentation to follow meal)
  • Lots of door prizes you won’t want to miss!
  • Photo Contest – this first place photo will win a trail camera! All photos should be outdoor related (animals, scenery, etc.) and can be submitted on Feb. 21st; picture should be no bigger than 8×10
  • Mount Contest – this will be judged by peers, and the winner will receive a Bass Pro Gift Card! Contact us at 717-486-4280 if you are willing to bring a mount to be displayed.

​​Meal will include: Pulled Chicken (BBQ sauce to add), Mashed Potatoes (gluten free), Green Beans, Baked Beans, Rolls, Desserts, Coffee, Water, and Lemonade.

Main Presentation

“Advanced Tips for Hunting Whitetail Deer”

Dave Tripiciano is an avid bow hunter, lifetime outdoorsman, sailor, fisherman and the founder of “My Father’s World” ministries. He is an award-winning wildlife photographer, author, videographer and a New York State bow hunting instructor.

His photography was included in a touring art exhibit by the National Wildlife Federation and his video footage has been used on TV. In addition to his two books, he has filmed, narrated and produced eight outdoor videos that are designed for outreach, entertainment and bow hunter education.  

Dave will be sharing a three-part message including advanced tips, strategies and tactics for hunting whitetail deer, his amazing life story, and a wide variety of facts as we look at the incredible world that God created around us and all of the animals and the amazing equipment and instincts with which they were designed.

Seminar Presentation

“Mountain Fires”

Mike Klimkos is retired from DEP, where he worked in the mining and dirt and gravel road programs, from which he retired in 2009. His avocation was firefighting, and he spent 25 years as a firefighter and state-certified instructor. He was a volunteer with several fire departments, including Citizens Fire Company in Mt. Holly Springs; a member of the Tioga Wildfire Team; and the Piney Mountain Strike Team.

Since his retirement, he has been editor of Mid Atlantic Fly Fishing Guide magazine and author of five books, one of which, The Fires of Penn’s Woods, is a history of wildfires in Pennsylvania.
