CVTU Summer Picnic 2026
CVTU Summer Picnic 2026 is one of Cumberland Valley Trout Unlimited’s favorite annual traditions, bringing together members, families, and friends for an afternoon of great food, fellowship, and outdoor fun. Join us on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Carlisle Fish and Game Club for a relaxing day celebrating our chapter, our volunteers, and our shared commitment to conserving the coldwater resources of the Cumberland Valley.
The festivities begin at 3:00 PM, with dinner served from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM in the club’s comfortable, air-conditioned barn.

Our friends at Smoked Trout Catering will once again prepare a delicious dinner featuring:
- Smoked pulled pork
- Smoked chicken with a variety of sauces

Adults: $25 per person

More Than Just a Picnic
The CVTU Summer Picnic offers plenty of activities for the entire family.
Take a chance on our popular bucket raffle, featuring fishing gear, outdoor equipment, gift baskets, tools, kitchen items, and many other great prizes. Members are encouraged to bring a raffle donation if they’re able. Every raffle ticket purchased helps support Cumberland Valley Trout Unlimited’s stream conservation, education, youth programs, and community outreach initiatives.
Feeling competitive? Step up to the casting area and test your skills in our accuracy and distance casting contests. Prizes and bragging rights await the day’s top casters.
Whether you’re a longtime member or attending your first chapter event, the CVTU Summer Picnic is a great opportunity to reconnect with friends, introduce your family to the chapter, and celebrate everything that makes our conservation community special.

Paying at the Picnic
If you prefer, you may also pay by cash, check, or credit card at the event. If paying at the door, please email CVTU with your name and the number of people attending so we can include you in our final headcount and ensure enough food is prepared.
