Rivers Conservation and Fly Fishing Camp for boys and girls aged 14-17
Cumberland Valley Trout Unlimited’s Rivers Conservation and Fly Fishing Youth Camp, now in its 30th year, takes place at Messiah University in Grantham, PA. Any teenager interested in the outdoors can apply; there is no requirement to pursue a career in stream conservation.
For more information and to apply, visit www.riverscamp.com

Boys and girls aged 14 to 17 will receive instruction in various topics, including ecology, hydrogeology, wetlands, trout stream entomology, aquatic invertebrates, hydrology, watersheds, the biology of pollution, reptiles and amphibians, trout behavior, and riparian corridors, among others. Participants will also engage in a hands-on stream habitat improvement project.
But it’s not all work! Students will have daily opportunities to try and catch trout in the Yellow Breeches Creek. They will learn from experienced fly fishermen and women, many of whom are professional fishing guides, casting instructors, and fly tyers.
