Presentation: “Penns Creek — The Hatch Factory

Join us for our first meeting of the new year as we welcome Rick Nyles, owner and head guide of Sky Blue Outfitters, for an in-depth look at one of Pennsylvania’s most legendary wild trout rivers—Penns Creek.

Rick will walk us through Penns Creek from Coburn to Weikert, breaking down:

  • The character of each major section
  • The hatch cycles that define the creek
  • What fly patterns truly matter
  • Approaches and techniques to help you catch more fish

Whether you’re new to Penns or have fished it for years, Rick’s decades of experience will offer insights you can’t get anywhere else.

Don’t Miss This One

Penns Creek is one of the East’s most complex and rewarding trout fisheries. Rick has spent more time studying it than nearly anyone—and he’s bringing that knowledge directly to our chapter.

All CVTU members, guests, and the public are welcome.
