Join Us for the Annual CVTU Family Picnic – August 23rd!
Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon at the CVTU Family Picnic, happening on Saturday, August 23rd, at the Carlisle Fish and Game Club (1420 West Trindle Road, Carlisle). The festivities begin at 3:00 PM, with dinner served in the air-conditioned barn from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Enjoy a delicious spread of smoked pulled pork, smoked chicken with sauces, pork and beans, rustic chopped slaw, tossed salad, rolls, cold beverages, and tempting desserts – all provided by our caterer, Smoked Trout.

- Kids 12 and under eat for free!
- Adults: $20 (same as it’s been for 20+ years!)
During the picnic, don’t miss out on the exciting bucket raffle! We’ll be raffling off a mix of fishing and non-fishing items – from your favorite fishing gear to kitchen gadgets and other fun surprises. We kindly request that you bring a raffle item and be prepared to purchase tickets, which will help raise funds for future stream conservation projects.
Also, test your skills in our casting contests (accuracy and distance). Prizes will be awarded to the top contestants!

To ensure we have enough food and seating, please RSVP by August 12th. We encourage you to register and pay through the CVTU’s website.
Here’s how to register:
- Visit the website and click the DONATE NOW button in the top right corner of the homepage.
- Fill out your personal information.
- In the “Reason for Donation?” box, write CVTU Summer Picnic and include the number of tickets you’re purchasing along with the names of attendees—for example, 2 Tickets for Joe and Mary Smith.
Alternatively, you can also pay with a credit card, cash, or a check at the door. Please email us with your name and the number of people attending if you choose this option.
